Our log homes are designed according to your specifications with each home being a unique creation for a unique buyer on a unique site.
Each site will have a complete geotech study completed with a foundation engineered to meet the requirements of the home and the existing soil conditions as well as the required elevation.
Each site is prepped with an attitude of environmental conservation and respect with as little damage, removal, and modification as possible to the surrounding trees and bushes.
Bulkheads, boat docks, boat houses, gazeboes, walkways and fishing piers are also among the realm of possibility
for each home site.

Techniques unique to Jack Shoffner Building & Remodeling
- Framing each window and building the logs to that opening so the windows fit perfectly
- Tighter logs by using 2-3 more boxes of log screws than other companies
- 5” round porch rafters
- No T-111 siding used
- 7” to 9” log beams used inside and put in with 1/2” and 5/8” log bolts 10 to 12” long
- Plugs made for recessed log bolts
- All joist and rafters have hurricane straps with 10 nails
- Handmade cross and soffit vents
- Interior trim handmade from 1x12 white pine, cut, touted and sanded
- Exterior log wall corners caulked and sanded before adding stain
- Exterior doors and windows are insulated around and caulked and screwed into place
